DIFFERENT INTERNATIONAL PERSONALITIES INTERESTED IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INTELLIGENCE CENTER IN BIZKAIA
British ambassador Simon Manley was interested in knowing the AIC model, during his recent visit to the facilities of Boroa.
During the ceremony, the ambassador received an explanation of the activities and the most relevant AIC projects, as well as about the importance of the Basque automotive industry, its international presence and about the main technologies and products that are manufactured in Euskadi.
AIC is a centre of value generation for the automotive sector whose success is based on 4 basic pillars, competitive intelligence, training, R & D and innovation, and development of new products and business ideas. The purpose of AIC is to go along with companies from the initial idea, to the materialization of the project into a concrete product.
One of the latest projects was the one undertaken by Infusa, Basque company specialized in engineering and manufacturing of automotive components, suspension links and steering systems and chassis, which formalized an agreement with Volkswagen for the creation at AIC of a centre of international reference for the development and validation of engineering components for this industry.
AIC is promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the municipalities of Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua, a group of leading companies in the automotive industry and ACICAE-Automotive cluster of Euskadi. Activities regarding knowledge, training, technology and industrial development to improve competitiveness of the automotive industry, are presented in its structure.
